Terms & Conditions

AGE REQUIREMENT
For all groups renters must be over 21 years of age and under 75 years of age.

DRIVER'S LICENSE
A valid full driving license held for at least one year is required. All driving licenses should be EU issue otherwise an International Driver’s License will be required together with the country of origin Driver’s License. 

METHOD OF PAYMENT/DEPOSIT
The Renter must be a holder of one of the following major credit cards: 
Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
A minimum amount of €300 will be required as a deposit for the rental duration.

MINIMUM RENTAL
The minimum rental is 24 hours. At the end all renters are allowed a further period of 59 minutes free of charge after the time of pick up. After the 59 minutes period has expired, the renter will be charged a further full day.

TRAFFIC FINES
The renter is responsible for any tickets and attached administrative sanctions resulting from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law during rental period.The supplier will pass the relevant charge on to you plus any administrative sanctions even after your rental has ended.

INSURANCE
The renter understands that all insurance cover is provided by the company supplying the rental vehicle and not by International Car Rentals. Liability for claims for excess of the insurance cover purchased rests with the renter of the vehicle. International Car Rentals do not provide insurance cover of any kind in relation to the hire of the vehicle and are not therefore liable for damages incurred in the event of an accident.

INSURANCE INCLUDED
All authorised drivers of vehicles are covered against liability to third parties for death, injury or damage to property according to the Greek Law, Fire, Collision Damage Waiver* and Theft Protection*.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER* (CDW)
This insurance covers the renter for damage to the rental vehicle, under the condition that the Greek Traffic Law will not be violated. The CDW insurance does not cover the interior, underside, wheels/tyres, glass/wing mirrors and roof of any rental vehicle. Also for loss or damage to the car key.   
The Renter will be liable for the excess amounts of:
The Excess Amount of €500.00 for groups A, B, C, D, E, F.
                                       €800.00 for groups G, H.
Both these amounts are subject to VAT.

FULL DAMAGE WAIVER (FDW)
The renter may reduce the above liability to nil, by paying:  
Groups A, B, C, by paying an additional €4.00 per day
Groups D, E, F by paying an additional €6.00 per day
Groups G, H by paying an additional €10.00 per day

THEFT PROTECTION* 
The Theft Protection insurance covers the renter is case the rental vehicle is stolen. It does not cover for partial theft – Radio/CD, Interior e.g. soft tops etc or personal property. Theft protection insurance does not cover the renter if the car key has been lost.

IN CASE OF AN INCIDENT
In the case of an accident. You must contact the police and report the incident immediately and submit a copy of the police report together with the rental agreement to the rental location.
In the case of theft or fire You must contact the police and report the incident immediately and submit a copy of the police report together with the rental agreement and the Vehicle’s key to the rental location. Responsibility is non-waiverable in the case of theft or damages due to a theft attempt (the excess will apply).   
For more details of all these insurances, you may check with the supplier on collection of your vehicle.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER CHARGE 
There is no extra charge for the 1^st Additional Driver. For each extra Additional Driver the charge is €3.00 per day and a maximum charge of €40.00.

CHILD/BOOSTER SEATS 
There is no extra charge for the1^st seat. For each extra child/booster seat the charge is €3.00 per day and a maximum charge of €30.00. Please note however that any child/booster seat must be ordered when making your reservation.

SNOW CHAINS
Available on request with a daily charge of €3.00 and a maximum charge of €30.00.  Please note however that snow chains must be ordered when making your reservation.

GPS 
Available on request with a daily charge of €5.00 and a maximum charge of €50.00. . Please note however that the GPS must be ordered when making your reservation.

DELIVERY/COLLECTION 
All deliveries/collections which do not take place at a supplier’s office shall be charged at €20.00 each way.

OUT OF OFFICE HOURS
For all deliveries/collections between the hours of 21.30hrs – 07.30hrs, a charge of €24.00 shall apply.
 
ONE WAY RENTALS
In other words, rent it here and leave it there. This service refers to any rental return made at the different office in a different city.   All one way rentals are on request.

TAXES
All rates include local taxes and VAT.

FERRYING THE CAR
Only with the prior authorisation  from the supplier.

ACROSS THE BORDER RENTALS
 It is not allowed to cross the Greek borders with a rental vehicle.

PETROL 
Fuel/petrol is the responsibility of the renter. No refunds will be made for petrol.

EXTENDING YOUR RENTAL DURATION
For any extension needing to be made to your rental, we request that you must always contact a member of our team who are on hand to help you with your request.
If the extension is requested whilst the rental is talking place, we will need to receive a confirmation first that this is possible from our supplier.
As it is possible that the vehicle may not be available for the extended period, in which case the vehicle will have to be returned at the original date and time as stated on the rental agreement.

CANCELLATION FEE
Up to 7days before the reservation booking start date a full refund will be entitled from the deposit amount.
6 days to 48 hours before the reservation booking start date there is a charge of 50% from the deposit amount.
Less than 48 hours before the reservation booking start date there is no refund allowed for the deposit amount, no matter when the reservation was made.

NO SHOWS/LATE ARRIVAL & EARLY DEPARTURE
In the event of a "NO SHOW" (when the client fails to show to collect the rental vehicle and the booking is not cancelled in advance) a charge for the full rental amount will be made.
If the clients are late collecting the vehicle, there is no refund available for any unused hire days.
The same policy stands if the clients end the hire duration early; there is no refund available for any unused hire days.
